It’s easy to make a huge difference as a Family Ambassador! Here’s how:
1. SOCIAL MEDIA
Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram and to create social media posts letting everyone know about your expedition experiences.
2. SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE
Give a presentation about your expedition when you return home. Invite friends and family over for a social gathering where you share your pictures and talk about your experience.
3. AMAZON SMILE AND THE ROUND-UP APP
Using smile.amazon.com and designating Family Humanitarian as the beneficiary gives us a portion of the amount you spend every time you shop without costing you a penny. Would you donate your spare change? The Round-Up app allows you to do just that – it rounds up your credit card purchases to the nearest dollar and donates the change to Family Humanitarian. Your spare change can make a huge difference!
4. GIVING STORE
Commit to one Giving Store Item – Donate toward water or education through the giving store on our website. You can donate any amount you choose either one time or monthly.
5. FUNDRAISING
Commit to one fundraiser/year – We’ll provide a video, tools and ideas, and you gather your friends, neighbors, and family to raise money for a borehole, water filters, textbooks, or a classroom. It’s a great way to give back during the holiday giving season, your birthday, or any time of year, and to provide others an opportunity to do the same. Here’s an idea of what your raised funds can do:
- $1,500 provides a school with 50 sets of much needed textbooks and classroom supplies
- $2,000 drills a borehole that will provide lifetime access to clean water for an entire community
- $2,500 provides 100 families with a water filter that will give them life-saving clean water for up to 20 years
- $4,000 provides the construction of an entire classroom and puts the dream of education within reach for rural village children
Just $1 provides one person with clean water for life so any amount raised has a life-changing impact!
